2nd Quarter Scat Tracks 2014

Hola Granite Bay Members
This is the second quarter issue of the Granite Bay Scat Tracks, our quarterly newsletter to our members.  We hope you are staying connected through our web page: http://www.granitebaysci.com/ and our Facebook Page. http://www.facebook.com/#!/GraniteBaySCI We will continue to post events, projects, and new information on both of these sites for your review.  By checking these Internet sites, you get fast and up to date information on what’s happening with our Chapter.
Our 14 Annual Granite Bay Fundraiser Western BBQ was held on May 10, 2014 and was a resounding success!
We had over 190 attendees that spent the evening at a great venue, the Blue Goose Event Center. The Western Food was great with JR BBQ cooking chicken, tri-tip with all the fixings.  We were max'd out so next year we will have to limit ticket sales to the first 200 people. We were nice and cozy with so much fun, games, and live and silent auction activities.
We made money for our future project and most of all we added 18 new members to our family.

We want to thank all our sponsors, donors, and everyone who attended and supported us. We will be posting all our donors and sponsors on our web page and facebook page so support these great company’s.
If you missed this event, go to our web page www.granitebaysci.com and see the program of activity.

Membership:

As mentioned, we had a great response to new membership and renewal membership at our May 10 fundraiser. One person won a new Weatherby Shotgun and one lady won a Coach Purse. Just for joining or renewing a membership.  Listing of new members will be sent to all with congratulations to all.
As you know, new members are the lifeblood of any Chapter.  Now more than ever, with all the gun legislation in the news, we are only as strong as our membership to fight this battle. Do you know of one person who feels the same as you do about SCI’s mission. Please spread the word and get one new member and invite them to be members. If every member would bring in one new member, we would double our membership.
A membership form is on our web page: http://www.granitebaysci.com/ or call us at 530-305-7566 and we will email you one, simple.  Here are the costs:

Many thanks to member Bradley Beer for donating space to store our records and mounts. This will save us a lot of money. We will be inventorying all mounts and weeding out the old ones and damaged ones. If you have a need for some of these full mounts or heads for schools or other education needs, call us. We are always needing fresher mounts and skins since the Sensory Safaris and storage takes a toll on their condition. If you have anything to donate to this cause, call us.
Ok, that's it for now. We have alot of events planned so Please come and participate at the events to help make them successful. Spread the word and bring a friend for some fun.
