2nd Quarter 2015 Member News

Summer Is Here Granite Bay Members!

This is the 2nd Quarter of the Granite Bay Scat Tracks, our quarterly newsletter to our members.  We hope you are staying connected through our web page: http://www.granitebaysci.com/ and our Facebook Page. http://www.facebook.com/#!/GraniteBaySCI. We will continue to post events, projects, and new information on both of these sites for your review.  By checking these Internet sites, you get fast and up to date information on what’s happening with our Chapter.

Boy did we have fun on April 11 at our Annual fundraiser at the Blue Goose Event Center.  If you did not come, you missed another fun event for the Chapter.

We entertained over 180 people with over 20 guns and designer diamonds and handbags for raffle. Our silent Auction items made more money than ever before due to the quality and variety for everyone to bid on. Our Live Auction met expectations with solid hunt values, fishing trips, vacation resorts and solid guns. We even had a Colt Python revolver and a King Cobra revolver for those collectors out there.

Our food was tastey catered by Mack Thomas of Mac Que’s Barbeque. Chicken and Tri tip with all the fixins made for a delicious dinner topped off by Tony’s Fine foods apple pie.

Most important was all the generous attendees that supported all the auctions and bought a lot of raffle tickets so our bottom line was greater than last years event. We thank all who attended and all who donated this year.

January Member News

Hello Granite Bay Members,

We know members are asking what is happening with Granite Bay SCI since the election of a new board and officers.  Well, your Board has been hard at work developing a plan for the Chapter that all members can participate in for the first six months of 2013.  Scat Tracks is the first publication of a new member communication forum.

Scat Tracks is basically a blog that we can post on our web site, www.granitebaysci.com and our Facebook Fan page to communicate to our members what is happening, special events and activities and announcements. It is also very cost effective for the Chapter versus a mailing communication. For those members who do not use the internet, we will mail Scat Tracks so all members know what is happening. You just have to let us know your address to mail to. Now what is planned for 2013?
